| Description: | Casa Santa Ana is an elegant new facility built specifically for birders, butterfly enthusiasts, wildlife artists and photographers, and others seeking an encounter with nature in the unique ecosystem of the lower Rio Grande Valley. Adjacent to Santa Ana NWR, CSA features three double rooms with their own library/kitchen/laundry separate from the main house, and two rooms in the main house. All have private bathrooms and outside entrances. The house and guest wing, modeled on Valley architecture of 100 years ago, are on one level and are handicapped friendly. The complex is surrounded by native woodlots and farm fields. Breakfast is provided "home style," so guests may come and go as they choose. The emphasis is on comfort, privacy, safety and proximity to the refuge. |
